The Supreme Court of the United States of America has just issued a ruling that "good cause" is no longer
required to obtain a CCW (concealed carry weapons) permit!
However, the Yuba County Sheriff's Office will conduct a very thorough background check to be sure that you
qualify for a CCW.
Best Handgun Training offers state of the art Yuba County CCW training classes. All classes are held
in a private, comfortable indoor training classroom located in downtown Lincoln, not far from your home.
We generally utilize a private shooting range, just minutes away from the training class. Our CCW
training is approved by the Yuba County Sheriffs Department.
Whether you are looking for an initial 8 hour Yuba County CCW class, or a 4 hour renewal Yuba County CCW class,
we have a private and professional classroom facility, and we do not instruct a CCW class at a residence
or another mixed environment.
For responsible, law abiding citizens residing within Yuba County, it is very easy to obtain a CCW
permit from the Yuba County Sheriff's Department. Provided that your background shows you are of good moral
character and show good ethics, "good cause" for a permit in Yuba County shall be as simple as personal
protection or self defense.
Once your CCW permit is issued from the Yuba County Sheriff's Department, it is valid throughout the entire
State of California.
At Best Handgun Training, you will walk away from your CCW training class, and be well prepared to carry a
concealed weapon in public. We go far above and beyond the minimum training curriculum and training requirements.
We train you for everyday CCW tactics, and will not train you for military combat situations, as some other
instructors have that particular training mindset. This is the real world, and real life training scenarios.
While you are attending our Yuba County CCW training, you also have the option of being certified for the 36
state non resident Utah CCW permit (additional certification fees of $85.00 apply). Once you submit your certified
application to Utah, along with the fingerprint card (we print you for Utah BCI), and your $63.25 fee to receive
your Utah non resident CCW ID card, this permit is valid for 5 years. To renew the Utah CCW, simply renew online
with $25.00, and it will be reissued for another 5 years.
Train with the BEST, and you will be rather impressed, and not disappointed. Many CCW trainers leave their
students to go and research CCW laws after their training course. There will be no need to do your own
research after attending our Yuba County concealed weapons permit class.
At Best Handgun Training, we offer CCW courses often, and not just a couple of classes per
month. CCW training is our business! We "live CCW" all week long, all month long, and all year
long. Rain or shine.

Best Handgun Training Instructor
John Taylor is certified to instruct for Yuba County CCW courses, both the original 8 hour CCW
course and the 4 hour CCW renewal course.
Firearms safety is of the utmost
importance. It is our goal to educate and prepare you
for the essentials of carrying a concealed weapon safely.
We encourage the continued development of
these skills, while pursuing further training courses, and going to the range to participate in the
sport of target shooting, competitive events and other courses.
In my course, we will cover the safe handling,
shooting fundamentals, marksmanship, firearms nomenclature, laws of the state of CA and the use of lethal
force as it pertains to self defense, concealed carry tactics, retention, holstering, drawing and firing from
concealment, the social and legal aftermath and effects of an incident after the use of deadly force, and
situational awareness.
Gun Safety is a very serious matter, which cannot be taken
lightly. Becoming a handgun owner or CCW Permit Holder assumes a tremendous amount of responsibility
and liability.
Just because you own a firearm (unless you have had some
training) doesn't mean that you have the "correct" training, knowledge and ability to use it properly,
store it safely, and be prepared for any situation. The
proper training with a firearm is extremely important.
Our NRA Certified Instructors pride themselves with instructing some of the best firearms training courses available to the public.
Whether you are new to concealed carry,
or a seasoned CCW holder, you will find that the variety of my courses offered can be an
invaluable experience.
Best Handgun Training conducts regularly scheduled CCW
training classes throughout the month. If you require special needs or prefer a one-on-one instruction with a
private lesson, our instructor may be happy to accommodate your request.
We are pleased to announce that Best
Handgun Training now offers Yuba County CCW instructional courses just for
women. Over time, some women have requested such a course, to relieve the pressure of
competing with men in the class. Although a majority of our courses are for both men and women, now there is
an opportunity to enroll in a course designed just for your needs.
Best Handgun Training offers many
courses which are certified by the National Rifle Association. Be sure to sign up for
your NRA class today.
The NRA does not certify CCW (Carry Concealed Weapons)
courses.
Best Handgun Training also provides Concealed Firearms Permit training certifications for 36 "shall
issue" states. This is an excellent opportunity to satisfy the requirements for these states, while only
needing to apply within one state to obtain reciprocity throughout many other states (excluding
CA, as CA does NOT have reciprocity agreements with any other state).
Although Best Handgun Training provides CCW Training and
Instructions/Certifications/Qualifications in 32 states, this does not apply to all CA counties. CA CCW
requirements vary from county to county. Please email or call for further
clarifications.
